There's a new favorite to be chosen first in the 2025 NFL draft.

Miami's Cam Ward now sits at the very top of the oddsboard, moving to -125 from +155 over the last week.

Colorado's Shedeur Sanders — who had been the favorite for more than two months — moved to +105 from -110.

Let's take a look at the odds to be the first pick in the 2025 draft at FanDuel Sportsbook as of Jan. 7.

Hurricanes' quarterback Cam Ward has surged up the board, moving to -125 from +155 over the last week and from +750 over the past four weeks.

Ironically, critics questioned whether Ward's draft stock would take a hit after his team's 42-41 loss to Iowa State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl since he sat out the second half of the matchup.

Instead, bettors saw Ward's stock improve.

As a matter of fact, "Speak" co-host Michael Irvin cautioned on a recent episode of "The Herd," saying, "Cam ain't dropping [in the draft]. Ain't nobody thinking about that."

Sanders, on the other hand, saw his odds lengthen to +105 from -110.

This season, he passed for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns. In the Buffs' 36-14 loss to BYU in the Alamo Bowl, the QB threw for 208 yards and two TDs, with two interceptions.

At the end of April, he opened as the favorite in this spot. In September, his odds had gotten as long as +850, dropping him to fourth on the list.

However, bettors might want to consider FOX Sports NFL Draft analyst Rob Rang's mock draft before putting some cash down on this market, as he projects Sanders will get drafted first by the Titans and Ward third by the Giants.

"Improved quarterback play is the quickest route to the playoffs, and Sanders' poise and precision are a nice fit in [Brian] Callahan's offense," Rang wrote about Tennessee drafting Shedeur.

About New York selecting Ward, Rang noted that Cam "isn't as polished as his Heisman highlights suggest, but his quick release and flair for the dramatic could be big hits on Broadway."

Rounding out the top three is Heisman winner Travis Hunter, whose odds dropped to +1000 from +380. In Rang's most recent mock, he has Hunter going second to the Browns.

"Turning down the opportunity to land a playmaker like Hunter just seems too illogical, even for this long-suffering franchise."
