The new Nintendo Switch – the Nintendo Switch 2 – has officially dropped. You can get it at Walmart and GameStop, Sam's Club and BJ's. The Switch 2 is selling out fast, and may be coming in and out of stock at these stores. Walmart previously said on X that its inventory will vary by location, so if your store is sold out, try searching at other stores near you. 

After a back-and-forth battle that resulted in a pause on pre-orders due to tariffs, users were eventually able to pre-order back in May. After reaching the limit on pre-orders, the wait is over, with the Nintendo Switch 2 officially launching June 5. 

Also, available with the launch is the new Mario Kart World bundle at Sam's Club. You can also find a Mario Kart World bundle with additional Nintendo accessories at GameStop.

The Switch 2 got a full upgrade from previous generations. The screen is bigger and brighter, with a longer built-in stand. There's also a black controller option, brand-new accessories and Joy-Con 2 controllers that attach magnetically and now offer mouse controls.
